Electric Vehicle PPE CPE Kit: Stay Safe During EV Maintenance and Charging

Quick Overview

KEY ADVANTAGES IN RISK PREVENTION

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are defined as any equipment designed and manufactured to be worn or held by a person for protection against one or more risks to that person's health or safety.

CPE: Collective protective equipment

Collective protective equipment for preventing from electrical hazards.

Comprises the products that close off the hazard means of:

  • Distance (marking, signs),
  • Obstacles (covers, screen, barrier),
  • Insulation (insulating blankets, insulating caps, etc.).

CPE must comply with the current standards.

PPE check

  • Every PPE must be verified at least visually before and after every use.
  • Periodic tests must be made by qualified persons and at least annually.
  • If the slightest doubt exists the equipment must be discarded and replaced by a new one.
